“If we succeed in lowering the price of food, public transport fares, and we also encourage rational and efficient use of electricity and fuels, we will be promoting a savings culture among the population and we will prepared to face the precarious economic circumstances that is affecting us,” the leader stated through a press release, according to El Nuevo Diario.
Rosario also proposed importing CNG powered buses “to be operated by the Metropolitan Bus Services (OMSA, as in its Spanish acronym), country’s drivers unions and private companies that offer public transport services.”
On the other hand, Fenacerd reported that the project agreed with the National Union of Carriers (CNTU), which seeks to convert to CNG vehicles belonging to members affiliated to the organisation, has been initiated, “with the lowest price in the market and with credit facilities for the purchase.” They also plan to install natural gas fuelling stations in different regions of the country.
