Clean Energy will build and operate CNG stations in four major airport complexes

“With these long-term new agreements, the number of major airports that Clean Energy supports with CNG fuelling services will increase from the current 23 to 27. Airports and allied ground transport services have become magnets for NGV usage of all types in response to the need to curtail emissions, decrease fuel costs, and reduce dependence on imported oil,” said Clean Energy’s chief marketing officer James Harger.

Southern US

At Florida’s Tampa International Airport -the state’s first airport to implement NGVs for its ground transportation fleets-, the station will support the airport’s expanding fleet of low carbon CNG passenger and employee transit buses, as well as off-airport hotel and parking shuttles. Furthermore, station at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, Louisiana, will provide the gaseous fuel to Airport Authority-operated shuttle vehicles, taxis, and varied off-airport parking shuttle units.

Northern US

Clean Energy will develop a public CNG station at the Airport Plaza convenience store and fuelling centre adjacent to John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York City, which will fuel expanding on-airport ground transport vehicle fleets, off-site Parking Spot shuttle buses, taxis and other NGVs operating in the area. Finally, Philadelphia Airport natural gas facility will provide fuelling services to Airport Authority-operated shuttle vehicles, off-airport parking shuttle fleets and taxis.
